$3.49
Cremini mushrooms are small to medium in size and have a rounded cap with a short, stubby stem.
Cremini mushrooms contain potassium, amino acids, vitamin D, selenium, riboflavin, phosphorus, zinc, folate, and manganese.
Cremini mushrooms are best suited for both raw and cooked applications such as baking, roasting, sautéing, or stewing. They can be sliced raw and mixed into green or grain salads, or they can be stuffed with crab, cheese, or other meats as a bite-sized appetizer. Cremini mushrooms can also be added into sauces, gravies, stir-fries, soups such as hot and sour, stews, baked into tarts, or sliced as a topping on pizza. Cremini mushrooms pair well with tomatoes, carrots, celery, potatoes, jalapenos, garlic, shallots, onion, ginger, kimchi, lime, sage, parsley, basil, meats such as beef, pork, or poultry, eggs, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, marinara sauce, cream sauce, white wine, rice, orzo, mozzarella, parmesan, and pecorino romano cheese.
They will keep up to a week when stored loosely in a paper bag with moist paper towels to prolong freshness in the refrigerator.
Packaged in Compostable Paper Bags: Though zero-waste is always what we strive for, some of our produce items do have packaging. We mark our products that we send out in our brown paper bags as zero-waste as all our paper bags are fully compostable. These compostable bags are the ideal option for holding the products that are smaller and like to roll around!

Whitecrest Mushrooms (Dorchester, ON)
The crew at Whitecrest mushrooms know their fungi. Did you know that cremini and portabella mushrooms are the same fungi just at different stages of growth? Several carefully climate controlled rooms are outfitted with multiple trays of inoculated growing medium. As the mushrooms grow, it takes a skillful eye to recognize a cremini whose crown will stretch without cracking into the smooth and evenly gilled meaty beauty that is a portabella!Address:
