Welcoming Our New Chef
What’s the best way to initiate our new chef? Send him to meet our local farmers in a snow storm!
We are excited to introduce the newest addition to The Root Cellar crew: Chef Dani Murphy. Chef Dani joined the ranks early this week and has already proven himself a true local food lover, braving the April snowstorm to visit our Aylmer farmers with Jeff from On The Move Organics. Here he is at one of the HOPE Farms showing off two tiny overwintered radishes and a bed of fresh greens in Diedrich Reimer’s hoop-house (note his gumboots -- he came prepared!). Right now Chef Dani is hard at work crafting a whole menu of dinner dishes featuring the bounty of our local sustainable foodshed. We’ve snuck a few peeks at the menu, and (while we dearly love the panini) we can’t wait for you to experience this whole new side of farm to table food here at The Root Cellar.
Dani will be a familiar face to many of you (he’s London born-and-raised!) and we are truly happy to have him join us just in time for our expansion. Welcome to Dani!
