Food and Music at The Root Cellar

Good morning everyone! We're happy to report that we'll be updating this space often with news from The Root Cellar Organic Cafe & Artisan Bakery--On The Move's latest project! You can expect menu updates, juice and smoothie specials and recipes, reports from special events at The Root Cellar, and musings about the intersections of local food, community, and small business.
Today is rainy and dark, but that hasn't stopped folks from joining us for lunch or a coffee break!
Today we're offering the following menu, featuring the best of our region's fresh organic produce:
-roasted tomato and garlic soup
-roasted carrot, butternut squash and rosemary soup
-roasted squash and eggplant panini sandwiches, with dijon mayo and a beet goat cheese spread
-four potato salad with fresh corn and an avocado cream dressing
-mushroom, roasted beet and onion pizza with cheddar cheese
We also have fresh pastries (goat cheese and beet scones and chocolate clementine muffins) made with organic spelt flour from our friends at Arva Mill, just outside London.
Lastly, today we're offering fresh white loaves, baguettes and multigrain breads, again using our favourite Arva flours. Our breads and pastries are baked right in our kitchen at 623 Dundas.
**And tonight is ACOUSTIC JAM NIGHT at The Root Cellar! Bring an instrument, bring a friend, or just come to sip a tea and enjoy the tunes. 5-7pm.
