Oregano - 1 Bunch
Commonly referred to as the “pizza-herb” for obvious reasons, oregano can be found used in many cuisines, from Mediterranean to Middle-Eastern to Latin American. Dried oregano increases in flavour intensity over fresh. Often confused with marjoram, the two are closely related and indeed referred to interchangeably in some cuisines. In a pinch, you may substitute one for the other (although purists may disagree). It works extremely well in sauces, salads, and of course pizzas.
From a health perspective, it is widely regarded as an antibacterial agent and its concentrated extract, oil of oregano, is a commonly used in homeopathic remedies.
