Avocado, Hass - each
The stuff of guacamole and creamy avocado dressings, or cut it in half, scoop out the seed, sprinkle with salt and enjoy with a spoon. Hass avocados are available year round from sunnier climes and have dark, bumpy skin and bright green flesh.
Test for ripeness by gently pressing on the skin. If it’s rock-like, wait a few days. If there is a little give, it’s ready to eat. Store outside of the refrigerator until ripe.
